Our Response to a Recent DDoS Attack

Dear Knack Customers,

On March 20, 2023, we experienced a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack that affected our network and the purpose of this note is to assure you that we are taking this matter very seriously and are taking all actions necessary to assess and mitigate the impact. We understand that this may have caused some disruption to the use of our service

First and foremost, we want to emphasize there is no indication that any data has been disclosed as a result of this attack. The DDoS attack was focused solely on our network in the EU and the US, and we have no evidence any Knack data, customer data, or other sensitive information has been compromised in any way.

Our security team quickly addressed and mitigated the issue. While the Builder access was impacted, we quickly redirected the bad traffic and restored Live App access. This enabled us to prevent further disruption to your Live Apps and existing API integrations. Additionally, we have been working with our cloud provider and believe we now have the necessary measures in place to prevent similar attacks in the future. We will continue to monitor the situation closely, and keep you informed of any new developments.

We understand the inconvenience and frustration such an event can cause and assure you we are doing everything we can to prevent such incidents from happening in the future.

We know that your business is important to you, and we take our responsibility to keep your data safe and secure very seriously.

If you have any concerns or questions, please contact our customer support team. We are here to help and support you in any way we can.

Thank you for your continued trust in Knack.

Sincerely,

The Knack Security Team
