HIPAA Compliant Package: Build Secure Apps and Databases for Healthcare

HIPAA-Only Hosting

Our HIPAA-Compliance package provides medical providers with the security needed to meet HIPAA standards, including:

  • HIPAA-only hosting on infrastructure with the strictest security requirements
  • Additional logging and auditing around all data access,
  • End-to-end data encryption
  • Inactivity timeout after 15 minutes of inactivity

Our dedicated HIPAA-only hosting goes beyond standard security measures. It’s built on infrastructure designed to meet the most stringent security requirements, ensuring that your patient data is protected against unauthorized access at all times.

End-to-End PHI Data Encryption

With end-to-end encryption, PHI data remains secure from the point of creation to consumption. This HIPAA-compliant encryption covers all data in transit and at rest, providing a robust shield against data breaches and unauthorized access.

Addressing Common HIPAA Compliance Challenges

Navigating the complexities of HIPAA can be daunting. Our HIPAA-compliant software package simplifies this by tackling typical compliance hurdles, such as ensuring secure data transmission and safeguarding against data breaches. By integrating our solutions, medical providers can focus on patient care, confident in the knowledge that their data handling meets HIPAA standards.

In HIPAA terms (see above), Knack is the Business Associate, and the Knack customer is the Covered Entity. HIPAA laws have explicitly outlined the terms, policies, and security measures that must be implemented by both parties to ensure that PHI is protected. This relationship is governed with a Business Associate Agreement (“BAA”).

A BAA is a legal provision that governs the relationship between the Business Associate (that’s us) and the Covered Entity (that’s you), particularly in regards to PHI.

HIPAA-compliant data management is simple and effective with our no-code solutions. With Knack, you don’t need to know how to code to create powerful applications that manage, share, and empower your data. You get to decide what features you want and build a solution that enables your processes, not the other way around. Integrations with Stripe, Paypal, and the Knack API allow you to integrate your database across the organization for a powerful business system. On top of all that, we don’t charge per user, making Knack an even more affordable solution for many customers. Trust Knack to help with your HIPAA-compliant database software needs.

We currently have data centers in the US and Europe. While the GovCloud and HIPAA editions are restricted to the US, the Custom Cloud edition offers multiple geographic options available from Amazon.

You do. Although the data is stored in Knack databases, you are the complete owner of your data and are solely responsible for its contents. For healthcare professionals, Knack provides HIPAA-compliant app solutions to ensure that your sensitive health data is managed and protected in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
