Hey there. My name is Dimitri. In this video, we’re gonna dive into why to use Knack if you’re a marketing team or agency. Ladies and gentlemen, we want you to understand that Knack is an effective tool for your marketing team to get control of your data, track performance, and build apps outside of core marketing systems easier, faster, and cheaper.
Benefits of Data Consolidation
Knack is a very powerful no-code platform, but why are so many marketers and marketing agencies leveraging it? It’s because it simplifies the process of consolidating data from various marketing sources such as CRM applications, marketing automation tools, and social media channels—all into a single platform.
With Knack, it seamlessly integrates data for real-time insights into the effectiveness of your campaigns and marketing performance, whether it’s for your teams or even your clients. Knack empowers marketers to create customized dashboards and reports that visualize data in a clear and understandable manner, helping you track key metrics and make data-driven decisions.
Automation and Efficiency in Marketing
Additionally, Knack automates tedious tasks like data collection and input and report generation, saving you valuable time that can be redirected towards more strategic responsibilities such as data analysis and campaign building.
You can centralize marketing data sources using Knack. Marketers can centralize things like CRM systems, marketing automation software, and social media networks. This consolidation simplifies data analysis and offers valuable insights into campaign performance.
Real-Time Insights and Collaboration
With Knack, marketers can effortlessly generate personalized reports and dashboards that provide real-time insights into campaign performance or even KPIs—key performance indicators—and team goals. This enables marketing teams to make data-driven decisions and optimize their efforts effectively.
Knack also automates repetitive marketing tasks such as data input and report generation, allowing marketers to focus on strategically significant responsibilities like data analysis and campaign creation. Knack really does facilitate seamless collaboration among marketing teams and other departments such as sales and customer support.
Integration with Other Marketing Tools
Marketers can create personalized tools that interact with team members from different departments, enabling smooth data sharing and better collaboration. Offloading projects with other marketing platforms, Knack integrates seamlessly with things like Make.com and Zapier, as well as through the Knack API.
Whether you are connecting to tools like Salesforce or Pipedrive for CRMs, marketing automation software like HubSpot, or pure marketing project management systems like Airtable or Monday.com, Knack can help you extend your marketing use cases at lower cost—extend the data to customer and partner portal apps at a lower cost per app and with an easier-to-use interface.
Internal Use Cases of Knack
Knack is great for a variety of internal use cases as well, including managing contracts, job and appointment scheduling, customer payments, and invoices. You can even set up client portals, custom CRMs, and much, much more.
So first, let’s dive into the Event Manager and calendar template. First of all, you’d go to the top right of your screen and click on “Start from Sample App.”
Event Management Features
You can also start from scratch if you wanted to, but you can start there. And then from there, you can go to the event calendar right there and then click “Create App.” In a moment, it’ll load for you and build out the entire application into your Knack account.
The events management calendar template is really nice.
Organizing Events with Knack
It allows you to organize events so smoothly. You can manage schedules, venues, attendees, and event staff effortlessly without other management tools. Knack helps you stay on track by making sure your events are never overbooked and all registration payments are accounted for.
Event calendars are perfect for displaying events and other date-driven data.
Customizing Event Calendars
Knack makes it easy to create and customize your own events using this calendar. You can very easily add a new record, and you can see all of these are automatically in there as example events to get started.
But you can simply press “Add Record” within here and add any events that you want. You can put it into different categories, change the date and time, set it to all-day or even make it a repetitive calendar event, drop a description, set the location, and much, much more.
Embedding Event Calendars
And you can even put the event editor in as well. What’s really cool about this is not only the back end but the front end—where you can essentially embed it into a front-end display showcasing all of these different events, like this elementary school flea market as an example.
This being embedded on a page is gonna be a lot better, and it can be changed into month, week, or day views.
Community Event Submissions
The calendar also can be color-coded, and the community can submit their own events for approval in this system. For example, you can suggest an event with the event title, date, description, and all the different categories in that form that we showed earlier in the Knack end.
Users can then search through your events listings, register, and pay for events. Event coordinators can add, edit, and remove events, specifying the capacity for each.
Managing Paid Registrations
You can also set up custom events where you define the filters and any color codes to easily find and categorize those events. Paid registrations are awesome. You can store payment information by essentially having members store that payment information for simple one-click payments for future purchases.
And you could also use this calendar for managing a social media strategy—like scheduling content—to help you spend more time creating content and less on planning.
Marketing Campaign Tracking
And it helps you draft, schedule, and post your weekly posts. Knack also provides some great tools for tracking and reporting on post performance. There’s also a really nice marketing campaigns template that we have.
With Knack’s marketing campaign tracking template, you can streamline the process and plan, track, as well as visualize the campaign—and even more than that, publish any updates.
Streamlining Campaign Management
You can also use it to track your spending, conversions, and your ROI, or return on investment. For even more of a streamlined system for your marketing campaigns, you can enable detailed planning, execution, and have team collaboration in here.
It allows for setting up and structuring all campaigns. The template supports complex task breakdowns into sub-items, enhancing project management and ensuring thorough preparation for each campaign stage.
Customization in Campaign Resources
It additionally offers customization options for campaign resources like channels and content. It can help drive efficiency, automate the scheduling processes, and distribute reports to stakeholders as well.
As you can see, there’s a project tags and asset section, and you can also add any new tables that you’d want. And there’s user roles for both admins and team members so that it’s segmented by different levels of authority in the user role section.
User Roles and Permissions
That’s one of the great things inside of Knack. The levels of authority that you have can make it so that you can adjust whether people have access to certain tables and even fields—and how they interact with those fields.
And we also have a digital asset management template. So this template allows you to maintain brand consistency, which is crucial for marketing success.
Digital Asset Management Overview
Our platform allows you to manage brand assets, track messaging, and create style guides to ensure uniformity across all the marketing materials. The digital asset and content manager template app from Knack is a dynamic solution designed to transform how you manage and collaborate on content within your projects.
Whether you’re a small team or a large organization, this app is tailored to streamline your content management processes and enhance teamwork. As you can see, we have all these different assets right here.
Access Control in Content Management
It’s awesome. You can add a new one. Customizing access controls to designate who can view, edit, or share content is really important here. And this feature streamlines content categorization and provides tailored access permissions.
Version History and Accountability
You can keep track of changes, which is essential for accountability and collaboration, and our app also offers a version history feature for assets, allowing you to monitor modifications over time and roll back any changes that weren’t supposed to be made.
This is essentially project-centric asset management. It facilitates the addition of assets for projects, ensuring a project-centric content approach. It also makes you much more organized, and it’s so much more accessible for team members.
Tagging and Organizing Assets
You can also tag different assets, which is really nice—especially since assets can get to be a little bit out of whack if you’re not categorizing them accurately. So I really like that feature as well.
This really just ensures a secure and well-managed digital asset and content management environment for the entire team. So, wrapping everything up, Knack is essentially a way to fill in the cracks with the different marketing use cases that you need—whether it’s CRM and marketing automations to extend data to marketing managers for internal processes or to external customers via portals.
Integrating Knack with Other Systems
You can integrate Knack with things like CRMs, marketing automation, and even project management solutions like Salesforce, HubSpot, or Monday.com via API, or integration partners like Make and Zapier.
By having this fill in the cracks, it enables you to create a secure and custom portal without running a single line of code and get those users out of the higher-cost systems that offer complex features and capabilities that many folks on your marketing team or marketing agencies simply do not need.
Connecting Knack to these systems allows you to build an entire application powered by your HubSpot or your Salesforce data in no time.
User Permissions and Data Integrity
Knack allows you to present specific information to your collaborators, ensuring they see only what’s relevant. You can display contact details, project updates, or any other data points while keeping sensitive information hidden.
You can grant these user permissions, like I showed earlier, to update specific fields within the portal—maintaining data integrity and preventing unwanted modifications.
Conclusion and Call to Action
Knack provides a dedicated space for partners and clients to access and interact with relevant information directly. This eliminates the need for endless email exchanges and ensures everyone’s on the same page.
