How Knack Flows Work

Step 1: Select a Trigger

A trigger is an event in your automation that starts your Flow. You can select a trigger event in Airtable that will initiate your workflow. For example, you might choose “New Record Created” or “Record Updated” as the trigger. Knack monitors Airtable for the selected event and ensures your workflows are always up to date.

Step 2: Set up an Action in Knack

Once a Trigger has occurred, actions execute the tasks within your Flow. For example, in Knack it could be “Create Record” or “Send Notification.” You can define what happens in Knack once the Airtable trigger is activated. A Flow can contain one action or a sequence of actions based on conditions and rules. For instance, you could “Update Record” in Knack when a new client is added or modified in your Airtable project tracker.
