How Knack Flows Works

Integrate BambooHR with Knack using Knack Flows to sync and automate employee data and HR workflows and operational reporting. This integration lets you sync employee records, job details, time-off requests, and HR-related events between BambooHR and Knack in real time. Trigger workflows when new employees are added, when roles change, when time-off is requested or approved, and more. By combining BambooHR’s human resources platform with Knack’s flexible data and automation layer, you can build custom people dashboards, streamline HR operations, and maintain accurate employee data across systems without writing any custom code.

Step 1: Select a Trigger

A trigger is an event in your automation that starts your Flow. You can select a trigger event in either BambooHR or Knack. For example, you might initiate a workflow when a new employee is created in BambooHR, when a job role is updated, or when a record changes in Knack. Knack Flows detects the selected event and begins the associated HR workflow.

Step 2: Set up an Action

Once a trigger occurs, actions define what happens next in your Flow. In Knack, actions might include creating, updating, or finding records, triggering notifications, or applying conditional logic. From BambooHR, actions can include syncing employee data, updating HR fields, or reflecting status changes. You can map BambooHR fields directly into Knack records and trigger downstream steps based on role, department, or time-off status.

Step 3: Connect and Automate

When your Knack Flow is ready, you can activate it immediately or expand it with additional conditional steps. Your Knack and BambooHR platforms are now seamlessly connected. HR data flows automatically into Knack, enabling teams to manage people operations, approvals, reporting, and workflows from a single, centralized system.
