How Knack Flows Work

Seamlessly connect Bird to Knack with Flows to automate your team communications and guarantee task visibility. This integration enables you to instantly send SMS notifications to team members whenever new records, like task assignments, project updates, or approvals, are created or changed in your Knack app. No more missed emails or overlooked notifications. Step 1: Select a Trigger

A trigger is an event in your automation that starts your Flow. You can select a trigger event in Knack that will initiate your workflow. For example, choose “New Task Created” or “Project Completed.” Knack monitors Bird for this selected trigger.

Step 2: Set up an Action in Knack

Once a trigger has occurred, the action executes the task within your Flow. Let's say the action is to send an SMS message through Bird. When the new task is assigned in Knack, Bird instantly sends a personalized text to the assignee with all the details, such as task title, due date, and a prompt to confirm receipt. Flows can include single actions, sequences of custom actions, or rules-based actions for complex workflows, giving you full control over how your team communicates.

Step 3: Connect and Automate

When your Knack Flow is ready, you can add more actions or start running it right away. Your Bird and Knack apps are now seamlessly connected. Each time a new record is created, such as a new task assignment or team member update, Knack automatically triggers Bird to send an SMS notification. You can customize messages with dynamic variables, such as names, deadlines, or project titles, and ensure every team member gets critical updates the moment they happen.
