How Knack Flows Work

Connect Magento with Knack using Knack Flows to automate ecommerce workflows, sync product and customer data, and build powerful operational dashboards for your store. This integration allows you to track orders, manage customer records, monitor inventory, and automate backend operations using your Knack app as a centralized database. Whether you're building a custom order management portal, managing product catalogs, tracking fulfillment progress, or syncing ecommerce analytics, Knack transforms Magento data into structured workflows that support your entire ecommerce operation.

Select a Trigger

Step 1: Select a Trigger

A trigger is an event that starts your automation workflow. In a Magento and Knack integration, triggers can originate in Magento when key ecommerce events occur, such as a customer being created, a product being updated, or a new order being placed. Triggers can also originate in Knack when a new record is created, an inventory level changes, or an order status is updated in your database.

Add an Action to the Flow

Step 2: Set up an Action in Knack

Once a trigger occurs, actions execute the tasks inside your Flow. In Knack, actions may include creating order records, updating product inventory dashboards, assigning fulfillment statuses, or sending notifications to internal teams. In Magento, actions include creating products, customers, categories, and orders, updating inventory levels, generating invoices, retrieving product or order data, and searching for existing records to prevent duplicates.

Add More Actions and Automate

Step 3: Connect and Automate

When your Flow is ready, you can activate it immediately or extend it with additional automation steps. Your Magento and Knack systems are now connected. Orders, customers, and product updates can automatically sync into your database, while Knack dashboards can power reporting, inventory tracking, and operational workflows that support your ecommerce team.
