How Knack Flows Work

Connect Jotform with Knack using Knack Flows to automate form data capture, streamline workflows, and manage responses from both Jotform and Jotform Enterprise. (Some of these features are only available with Jotform Enterprise.) This integration lets you automatically absorb form submissions into your Knack database, trigger downstream actions when forms are submitted, and push data back into Jotform when needed. Whether you’re capturing customer feedback, survey results, registration data, or internal forms, Knack makes it easy to turn form activity into structured business logic without manual data entry.

Step 1: Select a Trigger

A trigger is an event that starts your automation workflow. In a Jotform and Knack integration, triggers can originate from Jotform, such as when a user submits a form, or in Knack, when a new record is created or updated. For Enterprise users, Jotform Enterprise-specific triggers (such as team forms) provide even more flexibility for complex workflows.

Step 2: Set up an Action in Knack

Once a trigger occurs, actions define what happens next in your Flow. Knack actions can create or update records, send notifications, or apply business logic. Jotform actions let you add submissions to forms (standard or Enterprise), creating new entries based on Knack record data. You can map form fields to Knack fields and enrich your app with structured form responses.

Step 3: Connect and Automate

When your Flow is ready, you can activate it immediately or expand it with additional steps and conditions. Your Knack and Jotform apps are now connected. Form submissions can trigger automated follow-ups, updates to internal systems, task creation, and more. This integration helps turn form responses into actionable business workflows that support operations, sales, support, and analytics.
