How Knack Flows Work

Connect Shopify and Knack to centralize your ecommerce data, automate store operations, and build custom workflows that extend far beyond the storefront. With this integration, Shopify events, such as new orders, customer updates, product changes, checkouts, and refunds, can flow directly into Knack as structured data. Use Knack to create internal dashboards, manage fulfillment and inventory workflows, track customer lifecycle events, and trigger follow-up actions across your business. Whether you’re running a single store or managing multiple ecommerce sites, Knack gives you full control over how your Shopify data is stored, visualized, and automated, without the need for custom development.

Select a Trigger

Step 1: Select a Trigger

A trigger is an event that starts your workflow. In a WooCommerce and Knack integration, triggers often originate in WooCommerce, such as when a new order is placed, a customer is created or updated, a coupon changes, or an order status is modified. Triggers can also originate in Knack, enabling workflows that push updates back into WooCommerce. Knack Flows detects these events and initiates automation immediately.

Add an Action to the Flow

Step 2: Set up an Action in Knack

Once a trigger occurs, actions define what happens next in your Flow. In Knack, actions might include creating or updating records, sending notifications, or applying business rules. WooCommerce actions can include creating or updating products, orders, categories, attributes, tags, or inventory-related data. Field mapping ensures data moves cleanly and predictably between systems.

Add More Actions and Automate

Step 3: Connect and Automate

When your Flow is ready, you can activate it immediately or extend it with additional logic over time. Your WooCommerce store and Knack app are now fully connected. Store activity stays in sync with your internal systems, while Knack workflows can keep product data, promotions, and operations aligned with how your business actually runs.
