Hi there. My name is Dimitri from Knack. And in this video, I’m excited to bring you something that’s a game changer: introducing the new Knack AI app builder.

Exploring the Product Interface

Now let’s walk a little bit through the product here and talk about some of these benefits. So if we log into our application and dashboard in Knack, you’ll notice at the top right here that you can press “Create with AI,” and this is pretty awesome. So I can build a few different workflows within here like, let’s create a customer portal for a content production agency. And you’ll also notice here, by the way, that I can put in my own prompt where it says “suggest a prompt,” which is pretty cool too.

So like, I work in higher education. That’s pretty awesome. I want to see what that actually does for us. This is gonna take a minute or so to just sort through.

Automating App Creation Process

I mean, it’s making a digital masterpiece as you could tell. And it’s gonna automate much of the app creation process by analyzing the inputs and requirements that you wrote or the prompt wrote, and users are going to be able to provide information about the type of app they want to build, including desired features, data fields, and workflows. So really quick, as you noticed, the tables it made—wow. I mean, I’m just baffled by the fact that, one, the AI actually is giving us a pretty great breakdown here.

Initial App Structure and Functionality

So we started off your app with five tables, each with fields and sample data. We also created several pages and buttons so your users can view all records easily. So some tables would be for students, courses, academic progress, departments—wow.

Okay. So let’s see the app real quick. You can see here we have this preview showing. It’s a live app preview.

We have the ability to check out the different students on this page. There are various courses and the enrolled students. Let’s view this really quick. Yeah, we have subpages.

We have the ability to edit these options within here. Amazing, right? I can even add academic progress here with forms. It built out forms for all these—like, who got an A?

Somebody. I know my guy Daniel got an A, so that’s pretty cool. And then course: Literature and Society. Select assignment, pick the specific assignment—Literature Analysis. Press submit. I guess I have to put a number in.

Alright. So you get a ninety-five. I know that. Attendance is present. He’s always present.

Press submit. Wow. The forms work. They completely are functional. And this showcases the different ways they’d look on things like tablet or phone.

Wow. This is pretty cool. So it already built out all the tables, the pages, the forms—everything. Everything just seems perfectly good here.

So after we finish checking out the preview, we can press “Stop Preview,” and we actually go back to the inside of the data, which has everything. We already have everything pretty much made for us regarding data. And the records and everything are set up with amazing data infrastructure figured out. It even has the user roles created within here, like accounts and administrator as well.

Customization and Flexibility in App Development

Now while the AI generator does streamline the app creation process, you still have the flexibility of customizing your app according to your preference. You can adjust settings, add or remove features, and fine-tune workflows to align with specific requirements. I mean, this made it so easy for me to automate many aspects of the app development. I just—I didn’t have to do any of this.

Right? This is a lot of manual building. This is the kind of stuff that I really want to see within the creation of data integrity. I mean, I know that this is gonna be much better than a new person would manage.

Scalability and Use Cases of the AI App Generator

Right? There’s a bunch of connections here between different tables and that’s just—you know, sure, I can make the changes and I will when I need to, but this is such a better option. I mean, it’s a scalable solution. Whether you’re trying to build a simple database app or a complex business management system, this AI is equipped to handle a wide range of use cases.

It’s gonna scale seamlessly to accommodate the growing data volumes and your evolving business needs, ensuring that the app remains effective and reliable over time. Yep. Just like that in a short moment. Five tables, already a bunch of different pages made, so many different grids that I just—it’s baffling to me. I’m very impressed.
