MAY 9, 2009: The UK has GOT THE KNACK!

According to CHART WATCH UK, Arriving in at Number 59 is "My Sharona"! This is credited somewhat to the power of television and this Oatibix advert:

October 7, 2008: There has been an article floating around the internet that paints a rather bleak future for The Knack’s front man, Doug Fieger. While it is true that Doug’s cancer has come back, Doug would like to reassure everyone that he is among the living and continues to buy green bananas. The following message is from Doug:

"Thank you all for the outpouring of support during my latest bout with cancer. It’s true that my cancer is serious, but all cancer is serious. If there is such a thing as a good time for this to happen, then this is it. Physically and mentally, I am in great shape. I am a vegetarian; I exercise and have been clean and sober for 25 years. This combined with the very best medical treatments available I am looking forward to the future.

All I ask is for everyone to please remain positive, keep your prayers and warm thoughts coming and together we can remain strong.

You all have a special place in my heart and I can’t wait to meet you all and thank you in person."

On June 7, 2007, Doug's latest scan shows that his cancer is in remission! Doug would like to thank you for all your prayers, thoughts, and cards. Doug truly believes he could not have had this wonderful news without all the love and support he has received from all of you. Please continue to keep Doug in your hearts, your prayers and in your thoughts! Together we have worked a miracle!

On August 3, 2006,Doug Fieger, lead singer of The Knack, underwent surgery at Cedars Sinai Medical Center Los Angeles for removal of two brain tumors. According to Dr. John Yu, the surgery was successful and Fieger is expected to have a full recovery.

" I am overwhelmed and humbled by the love I've received. My thanks to all who sent their good wishes my way. I love you all."

Doug is very upbeat and positive. Let's all keep Doug in our thoughts and prayers and keep that healing white light all around him!

On January 14th, 2003, Image Entertainment/Smile Records released RE-ZOOM - a new and improved version of the Knack's fabulous 1998 CD "ZOOM." There will be three bonus tracks: "No Matter What," "Girl's Talk," and a secret bonus track not even listed on the CD. Also included will be a full lyric booklet, original cover art (with slight variations) and many photos. The CD has also been remastered for even BETTER sound than before, but the original mix remains the same. Be sure to pick one up from either this site or at your local record store!
 
 

On May 7th of 2002, Capitol Records re-released all of the Knack's great studio CDs in digitally re-mastered form. The CDs include "Get The Knack," " But The Little Girls Understand," "Round Trip," and "Serious Fun."
 
 

Also, on April 23rd, 2002 the Knack released a live DVD/CD called "Live From The Rock And Roll Fun House." In support of the Knack's major U.S. tour during the Summer of 2002 (see tour dates page), this new live CD/DVD is everything a true Knack fan could ever hope for!  Read a review here
