We’re thrilled to announce an exciting and long-awaited Zapier integration! This release includes some major changes to make your apps even more powerful.
“New Record” and “Updated Record” triggers can now be generated by inline edits.
In addition, there’s a new “Search” action that allows you to look up a Knack record using a unique field value and return all the record’s values. A new “Update Record” action can look up a Knack record using a unique field value and update any of its fields.
You can view and test some examples of this new, expanded functionality here:
This round of changes brings some other significant enhancements. Complex field properties now work properly, including the “URL” property of a file field. It also allows for more internal unit tests, which means we can test the Zapier integration more easily and avoid regressions to existing functionality. And new Knack connections in Zapier will now have the app name populated by default.
All existing Zaps will still work with the original integration, but if you’d like to take advantage of these new features, you can update your Zaps at any time.
As always, we welcome any feedback! If you experience any technical issues, please open a ticket with our support team or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We’re excited to expand our Zapier integration with this update, and to continue to grow this functionality in the future! If you’d like to learn more about what you can do with Knack and Zapier, take a look the 1,000+ possible integrations here.
